My Kind of Monday!

Although I am not ready to have children/be married quite yet, I cannot wait till I am! I know that might sound crazy to some of you but I can't wait to be a mother/wife. I also know this isn't an easy job so kudos to all the mothers out there. You are all amazing!
Here are a selection of photographs that I absolutely love & they portray the style of family I hope to have.

I find this photograph adorable.

In today's time this usually doesn't happen, but I love to idea of the woman always looking
her best for her husband when he comes home from work.

I love old ads like this!

In the 50's families spent a lot of time together & I hope to
pursue this when I have my own children.

Family Vacations!

2 children & 1 dog !

May/Tattoos

I cannot believe we are already into May! This year seems to be flying by soo fast. I feel a lot of good vibes coming my way this month & with the weather starting to get warming, things are starting to look up! I decided to do a little gallery on my tattoos! I haven't taken any proper pictures of all of them, so I thought I'd share all of them with you.

This was my very first tattoo which symbolizes each member of my family. I got this tattoo at Soul Survivors on Osborne.
This rose was done at Living Canvas with Karl & my bow in the background was done by Lacey at Phase ll.
"Puckerup" was done by Mike at Phase ll, Sailor Wheel done at Skin Dimensions, and my 1950s hair dryer was done by Simone from Phase ll…who sadly moved away :(
My gramophone! I looooove this tattoo! This was done by Simone at Phase ll.
My chrysanthemums were done by Bram at Rebel Waltz tattoo! "We're all mad here" was done by Karl at Living Canvas.
My hot air balloon was done by Charlotte at Spectrum Ink.
& My newest addition is my Flamingo & palm tree done by Mike at Phase ll!

Now, some people don't agree with ones choice to be tattooed, but I enjoy putting art on my skin. I do not influence others to put tattoos on their skin, therefore you shouldn't worry about what I do with my skin.
I plan to cover my colour arm into a complete sleeve one day & I am very excited to do so.
My boyfriend Cory has decided he would like to get tattoos as well! Some people go to the gym together…..and then some people go get tattoos together.... Here's Cory's latest additions!

Anchor done by Mike at Phase ll.
Gramophone done by Mike at Phase ll.

Happy Weekend

Traditional

Neil Collins aka Sailor Jerry
I absolutely love traditional tattooing & got my first one a couple years ago. As of right now I have 7 traditional style tattoos & 3 modern style tattoos & even though some people disagree with them, I plan to get more! :) Western style tattoos figure bold lines usually filled with solid red or green & additions blue, yellow, brown, and purple. Neil Collins, known as Sailor Jerry (http://sailorjerry.com) is one of the most well known traditional tattoo artists. Here's a few examples of Sailor Jerry style tattoos:

Here in Winnipeg, I have come across one really great traditional tattoo artist named Don Ritson from Rebel Waltz Tattoo. (http://rebelwaltztattoo.com/home.html) Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a tattoo from him yet, but I plan to in the future. You can also follow his tumblr page where he posts a lot of his work @ http://tattoosbyritson.tumblr.com
Here is a photograph of one of his pieces from his website! Amazing right!?
Traditional Tattoos are very common within the rockabilly style & this year while looking at pictures from 'Viva Las Vegas 17' I saw lots of amazing traditional art & it made me excited for my future tattoo ideas. Here are some ideas I've had:

People always ask me what tattoo shops I recommend in Winnipeg & here is my list:

I picked these three because this is where I had the best experience professional wise, treatment wise & tattoo outcome.
